Consular services
For all foreigners entering Chad it is necessary
to be in possession of a passport with a valid visa, with the
exception of the foreigners, who are citizens of the following
countries: Benin, Burkina-Faso, Cameroun, Republic of Central
Africa, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania,
Niger and Senegal. These foreigners can enter the Chad on
presentation of their valid passport or a waiver. Visitors from
Nigeria, who plan to stay in Chad for less than three months, do not
require a visa.
Holders of a diplomatic passport or any other
travel document issued by an international organization won’t be
asked to obtain a visa.
How
to apply for a visa through the embassy of Chad

three completed visa application forms with a photo for each of
the forms

an attestation from your employer stating the reason for your
travel to Chad, clearly marking the date of departure from the US

be in possession of a round trip ticket, or have a valid
reservation from a travel agency

have at least two free pages in your passport

posses an invitation letter

The embassy doesn’t issue passports.

Hours
The offices of the embassy are open Monday to
Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. The offices are closed for a lunch break
every day from 1 pm to 2 pm.
Attention

Fees are to be paid via check from the US and
Canada. No visa will be delivered before payment; applicants
have to submit proof of payment, i.e. through a postal service
(post, DHL, Fedex, or other) with their application. The issued
visa is valid until the expiration date. For any extension of
your stay after the expiration date, ask local authorities. |
